Welcome to Florida! The Weather is Fine here on Indian Rocks Beach, Florida!

It has been an interesting winter and we know most of you folks up north do not want to hear about the weather down here in Florida – unless of course you are on your way down here for a well deserved break from the ice and snow!
The weather here on the West Coast of Florida near Tampa Bay is temperate. Tampa Bay is actually a dividing point in central Florida between the Semi-Tropical and Sub Tropical climates. Here in Indian Rocks Beach we are north of the mouth of Tampa Bay. This means in the summer we are not quite as hot as those folks who lie South of the bay and in the winter we get a bit more of the cold in cold snaps. Some of the plants are different here than in the more souther part of our area but our beaches are just as white and some say the sand is much more comfortable for the toes here at Indian Rocks Beach.
